Dearest Mom, Dad, and All,
I was sure glad to receive your letter, but was terribly sorry about you being sick mom.  You know mom, if anything would ever happen to you mother, I think that I would almost die.  I love you very much even if I don't show it sometimes.  But I think every fellow thinks the same about his mother.  I know they would if they had a mother like you.
I went home with Ray as we had planned.  I sure had a swell time.  But if I had known that you were sick I would have come home.  Mr. Kath went to Montana to  work awhile on their gold mine.  He took the train and left their new car home.  We sure had a lot of fun with it.  Mrs. Kath went along every time the car went though.  Friday Blodwin, (sp?) and Margerest (sp?) ganged up on me when we went out to the beach and took me into the dance hall and taught me how to dance.  It sure is a lot of fun, anyway dancing with those two girls.  They didn't have a dance orchestra in the hall.  They only had a nickelodeon.  They said I did very well for my first time.  Mrs. Kath took us to the show in Bremerton Sunday afternoon.  It was the first time that I had ever seen the navy yard.
So my car passed all but the front tires did it?  Why don't he get a couple tires off of Wilsons car if Willie would let him use them just long enough to pass the test then change.
Ray and I will definitely be home Sat. mom so be expecting us.  Probably around noon or so.
I hope you are better mom than you have been.

                                                               With love
                                                                        Rex
